January 7: COVID-19 Update

First, the Glebe leadership team would like to thank you for your vigilance as COVID-19 cases rise in the community. We understand that it may be concerning to hear reports as cases are identified in the area. It is The Glebe’s priority to keep all residents and team members safe and we will continue to do everything we can to do so.

The Glebe must follow the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services guidelines to report new positive cases by the end of the next business day. To better assist and outline any cases we may identify, we are changing the format of these memos.

New Positive Results to Report Are as Follows:

• One healthcare team member identified on January 7.

There are no new positive resident cases to report currently.

The COVID-19 positive team member is quarantined at home. Contact tracing is underway. Anyone who is identified as having close contact will be contacted directly.

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has been notified of the positive case. The Glebe team continues to follow all VDH recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus.

Please remember that being fully vaccinated does not 100% protect an individual from contracting COVID or one of the variants. Anyone who is not feeling well should not visit the community at this time.
