Our on-site, state-of-the-art Health Care Center provides residents access to both short-term rehabilitative care and long-term nursing care. Innovative programming strives to improve wellness on all levels – physical, cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual.
Our Health Services Center is licensed through the Department of Health and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Glebe has maintained a 5-Star rating from CMS since its certification. This assurance of quality senior care at our skilled nursing center near Roanoke, VA, provides a sense of relief and security for residents and their families who might not know how to best care for an aging parent. Within a close partnership with each resident, their family and physician, our specialized team develops an individualized care plan to support maximum independence.
The Health Care Center is staffed with registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants and are on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Residents can transition seamlessly between Independent Living, Assisted Living and the Health Care Center as health circumstances change. All 32 of the residences in our skilled nursing facility are spacious and private. We also encourage residents to decorate and make their space comfortable and feel like home. Each residence includes:

Each resident has their own set of care needs. We work with the resident and their family members to establish a service plan to meet specific needs. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week with a licensed nurse to address care needs.
We have a medical director specializing in gerontology overseeing your daily medical care while you are in the skilled nursing home. However, you may continue to use your personal healthcare provider by appointment in their offices.
Medication is ordered by the physician and administered through our licensed and registered nurse practitioners.
