The Glebe donation to DSLCC

The Glebe in Daleville made a donation to the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational fund-raiser, "Bubbles, Bands & Brunch - An Afternoon in the Tuscany." Businesses from the college's service area have agreed to be corporate sponsors for the event, and proceeds will be used to fund Lancaster scholarships for students attending DSLCC. Currently, fourteen students are attending DSLCC on scholarships funded by the 2005 fund-raiser. Catered by Schaal's Catering and Events of Roanoke, the event will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, beginning at 12:15 p.m. at Moomaw Center on the Clifton Forge Campus. Music will be provided by accordionist Marvelous Marvin of Roanoke and the Tom Artwick Quartet of Lexington. Door prizes will be awarded and an auction will be held for donated prizes.
