Life Care

In its simplest terms,
life care means residency and services for life.

Choosing to take advantage of The Glebe’s life care benefit is a choice made by people who are planners. They enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the comfortable lifestyle of their home at The Glebe and they value knowing that their future is well planned.

With life care, people often just think about their future needs. But at The Glebe, life care is there to support and assist you all along the way. Whether you take advantage of physical therapy upon your return to The Glebe following surgery or enjoy the convenience of stopping to pick up a prescription at the Clinic, the safety net provided by life care starts the minute you move to The Glebe.

The convenience of the services through assisted living and nursing care on-site at The Glebe makes a difference in your well-being. You and the health services staff get to know one another through routine checkups, etc. When the need arises for short or long term care, you are among caregivers you know and who know you. Your spouse and friends are just down the hall, so staying in touch with one another is trouble-free for you and for them. With the safety net provided by on-site services, couples enjoy their relationship as spouses, because it is not necessary for them to become caregiver and patient. Life care is a safety net and brings a real sense of ease into your life. And, you can image the peace of mind all this brings to children and other family members.

And, keep in mind that there will be no additional increase in your monthly fee. The only other charges will be the cost of two additional meals daily and any ancillary charges (i.e., medical supplies, pharmacy services, etc.). Through the payment of the entrance fee (a portion of which is tax deductible as a prepaid medical expense the year you move to The Glebe), you have prepaid in today’s dollars for your future health care services available at The Glebe.
