Have you ever wondered how wooden aircraft carriers of the early 20th century evolved into the modern military marvels of today?

Retired U.S. Navy Captain Tom Copenhaver has all of the answers — plus a few awe-inspiring stories to share.

This decorated veteran, who served as Chief of Staff for the Naval Legal Service Command and completed a tour at the Pentagon as a Military Assistant to the General Counsel of the Department of Defense, is also the son of Bob and Mimi, beloved residents of The Glebe.

Captain Copenhaver will educate us on the largest warship ever built, the Supercarrier. Come learn about these 70,000-ton behemoths at The Glebe followed by a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we’ll share a short presentation on our community and offer tours of our beautiful campus.
