Join us as Dick Wall offers a loving recollection of his late wife, Roanoke resident and acclaimed author, Carol Wall.
Ms. Wall’s memoir, Mr. Owita’s Guide to Gardening: How I Learned the Unexpected Joy of a Green Thumb and an Open Heart, explores her friendship with Kenyan-born Giles Owita.
Carol Wall had just seen her memoir gain national acclaim when the cancer she had battled for a decade took her life in 2014.
On July 17, Dick Wall has a moving story to tell of his wife’s journey to a new and deeper understanding of life despite her illness at The Glebe. Lunch will follow, along with a tour of the community, featuring the beautiful Day Lily Garden.
Seating is limited. Please RSVP by calling 866-909-9777
