Everyone knows that eating right and getting plenty of exercise are important parts of wellness, but the key to healthy aging may be more than what you do — but who you’re with. Socialization is a valuable part of staying healthy and well, and at The Glebe you’ll find a supportive, close-knit community.
Each month, residents receive the community calendar full of events, activities, workshops, and more. This past month, residents enjoyed several lively musical performances from local choirs and bands. It started to feel like spring with games of bocce ball and corn hole, as well as an Easter celebration. This month’s highlights included a trip to the Sounds of the Mountains Storytelling & Musical Festival, as well as a Paris in Spring dinner party, which featured the Gypsy Jazz Band.
While the calendar of events has plenty of fun things to do, there are also many small group gatherings that individuals organize themselves. Just ask members of “The Dirty Hands Garden Club” or the Military Appreciation Committee. Residents also love to hold monthly dinner socials, birthday parties, bridge games, and more. Those interested in getting involved with decision-making at The Glebe can join one of our committees, which include Activities, Building and Grounds, Spiritual Life, Memorials, Finance, Movies, and more.
The Glebe is dedicated to ensuring that residents across all care levels participate in these events. Our community is proud to be inclusive and engaging.
